1 /5 Lauren Padilla-Valverde: My family has been a Mechanics Bank customer for over a decade. I have experienced great customer service at the El Cerrito, Berkeley and North and East Richmond locations. I have even been to the Central Valley locations and they’ve been great. However, my experience here at the Point Richmond branch has been unpleasant. I definitely feel treated differently because I’m a person of color (If you are a person of color you know what I mean). I won’t go there even though it is the most convenient branch for me.
