1 /5 Peggy Misquez: If I could give zero stars I would. The whole experience with the office located in Glendale has been a night nightmare!
Let me start by saying that I completely understand that things like this take time. Me personally it’s a few months short of two years I’ve been waiting for my settlement.
What I don’t understand is how hard it is for a professional to communicate! When the this law firm first took my case they were on top of it. Calling with updates, etc. I felt very well taken care of. Then all the sudden after a year the updates stopped. I decided to give them a call to check in. I was told that the lawyer working on my case was no longer with the law firm and that my new lawyer would be contacting me. Waited for a few months.. no word. Called back and this time was able to talk to my new lawyer, whom was very rude and impatient. She stated that she was just assigned to my case and needed time. Totally understand. Waited and waited. Finally called back in September and talked to her again. She said she needed my some more information, which I immediately provided her same day, and that once she received that information I’d be receiving my settlement in 2-4 months max. Being that I provided the needed information same day, I was expecting some good news. January comes along and I’ve heard nothing. So I call back just to get attitude as if I’m bothering her. She then states that she needs additional information! I’m like why didn’t you call and ask me?! Why do I have to call! Give her the additional information. All back in February because yet again I’ve received zero updates, zero communication. I was told that my case had been filed! I was super excited! April comes along and I haven’t heard a word so I call back. Just to be told that my case was never filed! At this point I had enough and requested to speak to a person higher up that my lawyer. I never got a call back from that person, but did get a call back from my lawyer and she stated that she was going to file my paperwork on April 11 and that I should hear something in 2-4 weeks. We are now in the middle of may and I’ve heard nothing. I call and receive no call back.
If you’re looking for a place to give you peace of mind, make you feel that you choose the right people to handle your case, or even want a simple thing like communication, I’d stay away from this place.
Update- my case has been closed and I have received my checks. Edwin was extremely helpful and very prompt. His communication was amazing
