5 /5 Mark Velasquez: My name is Mark Velasquez. In 2016, I was sentenced to 18 years in prison for a crime I committed against two individuals. James McGee was appointed as my attorney through a conflict panel, meaning I didn’t have to pay for his services. At the time, I was facing two life sentences, but Mr. McGee took on my case and fought tirelessly to give me another chance at freedom. He believed in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself.
In February of this year, I was released. I now work as a software developer for The Last Mile and have started my own nonprofit, Vector Square Coding. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Mr. McGee for everything he did—not just for me but for my family as well. If anyone is in need of legal representation, I can confidently say that this man will go above and beyond to support you through one of the most challenging times of your life. Thank you, Mr. McGee.
