Elijah Sabree I’ve worked with Ms. Berrier twice from 2023 to 2025 regarding a custody case. March 2023, I was served during a cross country move and the case was closed while I was trying to figure out how to respond. I called her, she immediately found the applicable law surrounding my circumstances, had the case reopened and got me an expedited hearing. As a result I was granted some visitation and partial custody. In that same time span, she worked diligently to get me additional visitation for a family event. Fast forward to January 2025, my child’s other parent backed out of two notarized agreements that we made for me to have our child for an extended period. Ms. Berrier handled the process SWIFTLY, got me a zoom hearing and trial to spare me cross country travel expenses, as well as appeared on my behalf. At trial she was an absolute SHARK. Ms. Berrier picked apart inaccuracies and walked my child’s other parent into admitting that she wasn’t being truthful, as well as intentionally deceptive. In a world where fathers seldom win unless mother has substance or mental issues, Ms. Berrier won me sole physical custody AND a move away. Have you ever seen “The Incredibles”? Ms. Berrier reminded me a lot of Edna Mode. She prepped me before hearings and always debriefed promptly after. She was brutally honest and a straight shooter. She never hesitated to give me reality checks. She will not be soft or coddle you. I realized that her approach was a reflection of her skill and her passion for her work. When the case wrapped up she congratulated me and provided me with follow-up advice and instructions to keep me out of court again. Ms. Berrier is the TRUTH. The same way Mr. Incredible only trusted one person with his suit, if I EVER need to go back to court to face off against my child’s other parent, the ONLY lawyer I would call is Ms. Yana Berrier.
