5 /5 Shmaya Nodel: Wow—where do I start? I came in from out of town and spent Shavuot with Chabad of Humboldt. What an incredibly inspiring experience! Rabbi Eli, Rebetzin Mushkie, and their entire family were so warm and welcoming. From the meaningful abundant learning to the amazing Yom Tov meals, every moment was filled with depth, and genuine hospitality. This community is truly a hidden gem—a must-visit and a place where every Jew is made to feel at home. I’m so grateful for the time I spent there, and I can’t recommend it enough!

5 /5 Janet Katz: Arcata is a challenging location to have a Chabad House due to the extreme diversity or lack of Jewish observance in Humboldt County. Rabbi Ellie & Rebbitzen Mushkie are heartfelt leaders in their quest to ignite the beauty & wisdom of Torah values into any individual who shows a spark of interest. Even when it is not possible to have a minyan of ten men on Shabbat, Rabbi Ellie is filled with energy, love and enthusiasm which is so genuine & inspiring. May this beautiful family go from strength to strength, and always have the financial support to continue their invaluable work.

5 /5 R B: Arcata is very difficult to be a Jew. The college kids are out of control and have become unstable and unbalanced. I had to take my flag down. It is not ok that we are being persecuted inside of America.
