2 /5 Sarai Lyon: Where do I even begin.... If your Ex hired a lawyer in El Dorado county with a name that rhythms with "Smessa Layer" DO NOT HIRED THEM. I honestly think they work together going back and forth just to rake up their clients bills. Not to mention, if they go to court for you, they charge each client for the court hearing an hourly fee only to give you 10 min of their time. I hired Luke to finish up my divorce once my exs lawyer decided to ask for my retirement information. At this point, I was 85% done with my divorce. I had filed papers on my own, requested a settlement date, applied for spousal support, etc (payed all of that out of pocket). I had even come to an agreement with my ex. Things had transpired between us and the agreement was no longer a go so I called Luke with the expectations of his solely getting me a divorce, I.e, write up an agreement stating that my ex keeps his things and I keep mine (which would have worked for both parties). Originally I was quoted $7500 as a retained and was told verbatim by Luke "we usually do $10000 for a retainer, but since you are almost done, $7500 should be more than enough". Halfway through I had to pay $3500 more and they ended up charging me close to $1000 over that on my final bill. For a simple settle agreement that I was forced to go to court for. I set them up with one need- a settlement agreement and it took months and thousands of dollars to get it.

5 /5 Sarah Van Valer: Should the need for a family law attorney ever arise, I highly recommend working with Aaron Dosh. He is by far the most knowledgeable attorney I have spoken with regarding family law. His courtroom skills are exceptional—he is always well-prepared and respectful. I appreciated his direct, no-nonsense communication style, as he consistently kept me focused on what would be most beneficial for my case. Throughout the legal process, he challenged me to see things from the court’s perspective, which ultimately helped me to make informed decisions. He was also mindful of time spent, which I greatly appreciated. His administrative team, especially Kelli, was wonderful and provided excellent support from start to finish. Given the circumstances, I am pleased with the outcome of my case and feel fortunate to have had Aaron and his team by my side. It was a privilege working with them, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if needed and recommend them to others with family law needs.

1 /5 SMT: HORRIBLE! Aaron cannot compete in skills with his retired attorney father. His lack of knowledge in the family law arena is amazing, not to mention it’s always about Aaron and his ego. Aaron also lacks compassion for the client, your situation and the child involved. The client will never be right; even when the client is right in court, Aaron will never admit it. He will however charge you for his error and his time while making the error. Aaron is extremely overpriced. You pay his assistant along with him to review your case and answer your questions; so therefore you are charged double. You prepare your own documents, per his specific request & direction; then he charges you to plagiarize them along with the charge for his assistant to prepare them. His relationship with the court and other colleagues is overstated an underrated. Do not hire this attorney unless you don’t want to get the positive outcome you desire and you want to spend $100,000 getting nowhere. There are similar reviews on other sites. Do yourself a favor and check them all out. Advice in this small town and in the El Dorado County family court system, is to hire someone who is not part of the clan, yet still practices in family law within this county. El Dorado County is still operating under the good old boy network. Many of the good old boy’s days have come and gone, yet they still continue to represent. Attorney Aaron Dosh is pretending to follow in the footsteps and limelight of his revered father. Unfortunately, he may never be able to obtain the status of his father. All very sad because he came very highly recommended, to be such a huge & costly disappointment.

He’s truly a remarkable lawyer that is no nonsense and very strategical. I can’t thank him enough. His representation has allowed my son and I to have a happy home without any more difficulties that arise when in the family court system. If you need quality representation, it would be wise to get Aaron Dosh involved.
